A Message from Your State Officer
Greetings FBLA members and Advisers,
I hope that you all are faring well as we embark on another FBLA year. What makes this year exceptional is the new innovated approaches NC FBLA is taking to increase communication and participation. The state officer team has put together a Program of Works that encompass these goals. One way we plan to directly increase communication and participation is through the creation of Regional Executive Boards.
I had the opportunity to speak too many of you at the National Leadership Conference in Nashville and the CTE conference in Greensboro concerning the creation of these board. I highly recommend that students apply for the Eastern Region Executive Board. Middle School students are not exempt, we will appoint one middle school representative to serve on the Executive Board.
By being on this board FBLA members will:
- Develop leadership and communication skills
- Get a realistic since of the business world through collaborating with other FBLA members
- Enlarge their service in FBLA
- Help the Vice President implement the 2010-2011 Program of Works in the Eastern Region
- Help plan Regional Meetings at the State Leadership Conference
This will be a great opportunity and valuable experience for you. In years past, I served on the FBLA National Southern Region Executive Board and the National President Assistant Board, it was a great experience and gave me the opportunity to be more involve in FBLA.
Let's be the forerunner's and getting this board up and running in our region as we all come together to IGNITE THE FIRE.
In Leadership,
Niko Peele
NC FBLA Eastern Region Vice President
